In celebration of Independence Day, the Prisons Department has announced a special opportunity for inmates to receive open visitors on February 4th. Relatives of detainees will be allowed to bring food and hygiene items for their loved ones, with provisions being made to ensure that the items brought are sufficient for one inmate.
The department emphasized that this initiative will be carried out across all prison institutions on the island. As part of the process, visitor screening will take place in adherence to all established health guidelines, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the inmates and their visitors.
