In a bid to improve the efficiency of public services, the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has launched a new WhatsApp number to allow the general public to easily submit complaints and appeals directly to the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic. The new service is available through the WhatsApp number 071 4033300.

Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe, the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, confirmed that the department is committed to addressing complaints promptly and effectively. He emphasized that all written appeals or complaints submitted through this number will be swiftly reviewed and acted upon.

In addition to the WhatsApp service, the Department of Motor Traffic has also launched a new TELL DMT Facebook page, offering another platform for individuals to connect with the department for assistance and feedback.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the new government to enhance transparency and responsiveness in public services. The department encourages the public to take advantage of these new communication channels to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed quickly.
