Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2025 Kicks Off today

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake inaugurated the event, where he is set to participate in a Fireside Chat discussing the Government’s vision for sustainable economic progress.

The session will be moderated by Bingumal Thewarathanthri, Deputy Vice Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The discussion is expected to focus on the government’s strategies for achieving long-term economic stability, addressing challenges, and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.

The second day of the Summit, scheduled for January 29, will feature another Fireside Chat with Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Chief Advisor to the President on the Digital Economy. Dr. Wijayasuriya will share insights into Sri Lanka’s digital transformation and the role of technology in driving economic growth.
