Sri Lanka Railways has announced exciting new additions to its train services aimed at enhancing the country's tourism sector. Starting February 1st.

The 'Ella Odyssey' train will begin operating an additional weekend service between Kandy and Demodara. This move is expected to provide more opportunities for travelers to experience the stunning views of Sri Lanka's scenic hill country.

In addition, beginning February 10, another service will be introduced from Nanu Oya to Badulla, further expanding options for tourists looking to explore the island's picturesque regions. On the same day, an additional train service between Fort and Badulla will operate every Monday, catering to both locals and tourists alike.

In a bid to improve connectivity, the Fort to Kankesanthurai night mail train will now operate daily, starting from January 31, ensuring more convenience for travelers along this route.

These new train services are part of Sri Lanka Railways' ongoing efforts to attract more visitors to the island and showcase its rich cultural and natural heritage. Travelers are encouraged to take advantage of these enhanced train services for a memorable journey across Sri Lanka’s stunning landscapes.
