In a major step towards enhancing healthcare services, the Ministry of Health has announced plans to modernize all services at the Borella Ayurveda National Hospital, with the goal of making it a full-fledged national hospital. Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media, led a comprehensive discussion on the proposed modernization during a recent meeting with the governing authority of the Rajagiriya Ayurveda National Hospital.
The new plan aims to expand and upgrade the existing infrastructure, introduce state-of-the-art facilities, and streamline the delivery of Ayurvedic healthcare services, making the Borella hospital a key player in the nation’s healthcare system.
The initiative is also expected to improve patient care and increase the hospital’s capacity to serve more patients with a broader range of services.
Dr. Jayatissa emphasized the urgency of the project, underscoring the importance of integrating modern technologies while preserving traditional Ayurvedic practices.
This transformation is expected to enhance the hospital’s role in providing high-quality treatment to those seeking alternative and traditional medicine in Sri Lanka.
