CIABOC Investigates Namal Rajapaksa Over Krrish Land Deal

The Fort Magistrate�s Court today ( January 22) heard the case related to alleged financial irregularities of Rs. 70 million during the leasing of land at the Krrish Transworks Square in Fort, Colombo.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa, named as a suspect in the case and currently out on bail, appeared in court for the proceedings.
Investigating officers informed the court that the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has initiated a separate inquiry against MP Rajapaksa over the same matter.
Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura directed that the case, handled by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), be called again on June 4, 2025, pending advice from the Attorney General.
