Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Member of Parliament, Speaking to the media, MP Namal Rajapaksa clarified that the house in question is not a personal property of his father, but a government-owned residence allocated to former Presidents under constitutional provisions.
He emphasized that the family has no objections to vacating the house if instructed to do so by the sitting President, and that a formal written request would be accepted.
