The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and the People's Bank of China (PBoC) have extended their Bilateral Currency Swap Agreement for another three years. The agreement, originally signed in 2021, remains under the same terms and conditions.

This ¥ 10 billion (approximately USD 1.4 billion) facility highlights the financial partnership between the two nations, according to the CBSL.

Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the CBSL, signed on behalf of Sri Lanka, while Mr. Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the PBoC, represented China.
