Over 2,300 Dengue Cases Reported across the Island in this Year

The National Dengue Control Unit has reported 2,352 dengue cases across Sri Lanka in 2025. No dengue-related deaths have been recorded during this period.

The Gampaha District has the highest number of cases, with 374 patients reported. Colombo has recorded 304 cases, Galle 169, and Kandy 134.

In comparison, 49,887 dengue cases and 24 related deaths were reported in 2024, according to the Unit. Authorities continue to urge the public to take precautions to prevent the spread of dengue.
