Special Visitations for Hindu Prisoners on Thai Pongal

The Department of Prisons has announced special visitation arrangements for Hindu prisoners in celebration of the Thai Pongal Festival tomorrow (January 14), Prisons Commissioner and media spokesman Gamini B. Dissanayake stated.
Relatives of Hindu inmates will be allowed to visit them at prisons across the country. Visitors are reminded to bring food sufficient for only one inmate during their visit.
The visitations will follow health guidelines and prison rules to ensure smooth and safe proceedings.
