SLTB launches luxury bus service between BIA and Makumbura Multimodal Transport Centre

This new service aims to provide enhanced convenience for both local and international travelers arriving at the airport.

According to the Airport and Aviation Company, the bus service is designed to accommodate the growing number of passengers, with 10 daily flights currently operating from the Katunayake Airport.

 The service departs from the area opposite the Katunayake Airport Police Station, offering a seamless and comfortable travel option to the Makuora Multimodal Transport Centre.

The fare for the journey is set at Rs. 450, providing an affordable and efficient transportation solution for travelers. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve passenger services and support better connectivity in the region.

Travelers can now enjoy a smoother, more convenient transit experience between the airport and the transport hub, which is expected to significantly reduce travel time and enhance the overall passenger experience.
