'Clean Sri Lanka' Initiative to be Debated in the Parliament

The Government's national initiative, 'Clean Sri Lanka,' will be debated in Parliament on January 21 and 22, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya announced today (January 8) during a session in Parliament.

The government launched the "Clean Sri Lanka" program on January 1, 2025, in line with Government's policy vision, "A Rich Country, a Beautiful Life," under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The initiative aims to promote social, environmental, and ethical progress while enhancing sustainability in various sectors. It also focuses on improving the efficiency of state institutions to achieve its goals.

Further details on the initiative are expected to be discussed during the debate.
