In a bid to enhance passenger safety, the National Transport Commission (NTC) has announced plans to create a comprehensive list of passenger rights for bus travelers.

This list will incorporate all conditions outlined in the operating licenses issued by the NTC for buses, as well as the conditions set by Provincial Councils when issuing bus operating licenses.

The NTC emphasized that the final version of the passenger rights list will be developed after consultations with bus associations and passenger groups, ensuring that the interests and concerns of all stakeholders are considered.

The move is part of the NTC's ongoing efforts to improve the safety and well-being of passengers, with a focus on clarifying the rights and responsibilities of both operators and travelers. A final decision will be made following the completion of these discussions.
