The Secretariat for Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment has clarified that recent reports claiming the allowance for kidney patients will be stopped after December are completely false.
According to the Secretariat, the government has proposed increasing the allowance from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 10,000 as part of the new budget. While patient information is currently being updated, it has been assured that no existing benefits will be affected during this process.
The Secretariat also noted that the reported figure of 47,244 kidney patients, as stated by the National Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities, will be verified to ensure the accuracy of the data before finalizing updates.
