Traffic Restrictions Announced for Colombo-Avissawella Road

The police have issued a special announcement regarding traffic restrictions on the Colombo-Avissawella road today. Due to the annual Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Ashirvada Maha Perahera, taking place at the Embulgama Rajamaha Viharaya in the Hanwella Police Division, traffic will be restricted in the area.

Motorists traveling on the Colombo-Avissawella road are advised to take alternative routes. Vehicles heading from Colombo towards Avissawella are instructed to proceed from Ranala Mankada Junction via Kekulangwala Road, Panagoda 293 Road, then from Panagoda Junction to Godagama, and finally via the High Level Road towards Avissawella.

For vehicles traveling from Avissawella towards Colombo, the High Level Road is recommended.

Those traveling on the 293 Panagoda Homagama Road can access Lolevel Road from the Kekulangwala Road Mankada Junction.

Additionally, vehicles traveling from Avissawella towards Colombo or from Kiridiwela towards Colombo on the Lolevela Road should proceed via Kaduwela, using the Hanwella Samanala Junction and Samanabadda Malwana.

Motorists are urged to follow these alternative routes to avoid delays and ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.
