Medical Panel to assess Duminda Silva’s Health Condition

The panel, formed by the Director General of Health Services at the request of the Department of Prisons, will determine whether Silva, who is under a death sentence, requires continued inpatient care.

The assessment will take place in the coming days, and a report will be submitted to the Department of Prisons.

Dissanayake also dismissed allegations that Silva was given a separate toilet facility and stated that inspections of Silva’s premises did not uncover mobile phones or other banned items.
