Major General Wickramasinghe Assumes Duties as Deputy Chief of Staff

With religious blessings and ceremonies led by Ven. Balangoda Amarajothi Thero, Ven. Aluthwela Rathanasiri Thero, and Ven. Lunugamwehera Wimalananda Thero, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Colonel of the Regiment for the Gajaba Regiment, officially signed a document to mark his acceptance of the new position. Before this role, he held the position of Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

He took on the role, which is the third most senior appointment in the Army and  Major General Wickramasinghe brings a distinguished record of service, including decorations such as RWP (Rana Wickrama Padakkama) and RSP (Rana Sura Padakkama) for his leadership and excellent service for the country.
