
Emirates to Boost Dubai-Colombo Flights, Starting Tomorrow
This expansion will increase passenger capacity on the route by 30%, supporting Sri Lanka’s tourism goals and strengthening air connectivity.
New Flight Details
The new service, EK654/655, will initially operate six times a week through March 31, 2025. The schedule is as follows:
• Flight EK654 departs Dubai International Airport at 10:05 AM (except Wednesdays), arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo at 4:00 PM local time.
• Return Flight EK655 leaves Colombo at 10:05 PM, reaching Dubai at 1:05 AM the following day.
Starting April 1, 2025, the Wednesday flight will be added, with slightly adjusted timings for better passenger convenience.
• The Wednesday service departs Colombo at 10:05 PM and lands in Dubai at 12:55 AM. The return flight leaves Dubai at 1:20 PM and arrives in Colombo at 7:15 PM.
Passengers on the new route can look forward to Emirates’ renowned luxury experience aboard its Boeing 777 aircraft. The plane includes First Class suites that provide exceptional privacy and comfort.
Additionally, it offers 42 Business Class seats with modern amenities and 310 Economy Class seats designed to ensure maximum comfort on long-haul journeys.
This new service enhances Emirates’ current offerings, which already include two direct flights between Dubai and Colombo and one daily flight via Male, increasing the total daily frequency to four flights.
