Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo appointed as the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army
The new Commander received his official appointment letter from Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake yesterday (December 30) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
Lieutenant General Rodrigo succeeds Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, who retiring from active service today.
A veteran military officer, Rodrigo previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army. He also served as the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, showcasing his extensive experience in leadership and service.
