Government Announces Restart of Key Foreign Investment Projects

Government Spokesman, Minister Nalinda Jayathissa, announced that several foreign and international investment projects, which were previously halted, have now resumed under the new government.

Speaking after taking on the role of Kalutara District Development Committee chairman, Jayathissa revealed that discussions are underway to attract further foreign investments, signaling a positive outlook for Sri Lanka’s economy in the coming year.

He highlighted that foreign diplomats have regained confidence in the country and are actively engaging with Sri Lanka again. Both foreign and local businesses are showing renewed trust in the nation’s potential.

Minister Jayathissa also noted that the stock market has shown improvement in a short time, further indicating that the international community recognizes Sri Lanka’s progress toward stabilization.

He emphasized that the government has successfully stabilized the country within just three months of taking office.
