Pathirana, a resident of Pallegama, Deniyaya, began his ambitious journey from Dondra Head, the southernmost point of Sri Lanka, on October 14.

His path took him northwards through Sri Lanka to Point Pedro before crossing over to India via a boat journey from the Kankesanthurai harbor to Nagapattinam. From there, he cycled through Dhanushkodi and Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India, before continuing his northward journey to reach Kashmir, the northernmost region of India.

This remarkable feat was made possible by a specially customized bicycle donated by Lumala, a Sri Lankan bicycle manufacturer. The bike was designed with additional features tailored to Pathirana's needs for the long and demanding journey.

Throughout his 75-day adventure, Pathirana faced numerous challenges, including extreme weather conditions, varying terrains, and the logistical complexity of crossing international borders. His journey serves as an inspiration to many, showcasing the determination and resilience required to undertake such a challenging ride.

Upon his return, Pathirana expressed gratitude to those who supported him along the way, including his sponsors and well-wishers, while emphasizing the importance of promoting Sri Lanka’s sporting potential on the global stage.
