Colombo Stock Market Records Strong Gains

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange saw significant growth today (December 27), rising by 135.07 points, or 0.88%, to close at 15,535.60.
The S&P SL20 Index, which tracks the top 20 companies, also recorded gains, increasing by 79.95 points to close at 4,682.35.
Today’s trading activity was robust, with a turnover exceeding Rs. 9.8 billion and more than 293 million shares traded.
This performance highlights positive momentum in the market as investor confidence continues to strengthen.
