The government has approved a long-term contract to import six Murban crude oil tankers between April 1 and August 31, 2025.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) invited bids from its registered suppliers for this procurement and received six proposals.
The Cabinet approved the recommendation by the Special Standing Procurement Committee to award the contract to M/s Aditya Birla Global Trading (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, based on a proposal by the Minister of Energy.
