British High Commissioner Praises Government's Economic Recovery Efforts

Speaking during a meeting with Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, the High Commissioner stated that Sri Lanka is on the right path economically.

During the discussion at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Suriyapperuma outlined Sri Lanka’s economic strategies in detail.

The High Commissioner highlighted his willingness to promote Sri Lankan exports, such as organic produce, garments, and natural beauty products, to the UK.

He also revealed plans for a delegation of British business leaders to visit Sri Lanka early next year to explore trade opportunities. 

Additionally, he praised Sri Lanka’s efforts in restructuring its international sovereign bonds and implementing the IMF program effectively.
