Sri Lanka Transport Board to Sell Scrap Metal to improve Facilities

Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways, Dr. Prasanna Gunasena, announced that large amounts of scrap metal have accumulated in various bus depot premises, creating challenges in maintaining cleanliness.

The Deputy Minister stated that the sale of these materials will not only clear depot spaces but also generate revenue.

The funds will be used to modernize and improve bus depot facilities across the country.

This initiative is expected to streamline depot operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of the SLTB.
