The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will evaluate Sri Lanka's recent tax policy changes, and a detailed analysis will be included in the staff report.

This report will be released after the IMF Executive Board approves Sri Lanka's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, according to  Julie Kozack , IMF spokesperson.

On November 23, Sri Lanka and IMF staff reached a Staff-Level Agreement on the Third Review under the EFF arrangement. Once the review is approved by the IMF Executive Board, Sri Lanka will gain access to $333 million.

IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack stated that the Executive Board meeting is expected in the coming months, pending the implementation of required prior actions by the Sri Lankan authorities. She also mentioned that a detailed evaluation of the tax revisions will be included in the staff report published after the program’s approval.
