A Gazette notification has been issued, appointing an 18-member Presidential Task Force to implement the 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative, in line with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's policy vision, "A Rich Country, a Beautiful Life."

The task force, led by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, includes the Commanders of the Tri-Forces, the Acting Inspector General of Police, and the Chairman of the Urban Development Authority. The Gazette was published yesterday (December 19).

The initiative aims to promote social, environmental, and ethical progress while enhancing sustainability in various sectors. It also focuses on improving the efficiency of state institutions to achieve its goals.

The establishment of this task force was approved at a recent Cabinet meeting, marking a significant step towards environmental and social transformation in Sri Lanka.
