The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that the process of gathering public comments on the proposed amendments to electricity tariffs has officially begun as of December 17. The consultation will continue until January 8, 2025 allowing the public ample time to voice their opinions and concerns.

Interested parties can submit their proposals in writing to the "Public Consultation on Electricity Tariffs" at the PUCSL’s office, located on the 6th Floor of the Bank of Ceylon Trading Tower, Colombo 03. Alternatively, submissions can be made via email to [email protected].

The PUCSL has also made provisions for public consultations at designated locations at the provincial level, as well as at the Commission’s office. This move is part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the public has a chance to provide input into the electricity tariff revision process.

The Commission urges all concerned citizens to participate in this consultation process, ensuring that their voices are heard in shaping the future of electricity tariffs in Sri Lanka.
