The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the import of up to 30,000 metric tons of non-iodized salt to address the current market shortage.
Cabinet Spokesman Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced that the State Trading Corporation has been authorized to import these stocks, which are expected to arrive before January 31, 2025.
