The Supreme Court has instructed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to submit a detailed report by 9.00 AM tomorrow (December 19) regarding the ongoing investigation into the alleged leaking of questions from the 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
The scholarship exam, conducted in September, had 323,879 students participating. Allegations surfaced after a practice paper containing questions similar to those in the first exam paper was reportedly circulated by a tuition teacher in Alawwa before the exam.
Following complaints from various parties, including a Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Examinations, an investigation was initiated by the CID. So far, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
