Mr. Priyantha Peiris, a seasoned banker with 37 years of experience in the banking and financial sectors, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cement Corporation. The Corporation operates under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
Mr. Peiris brings a wealth of expertise in finance and banking to his new role. He began his career in banking in 1986 and has since built an illustrious career across Sri Lanka, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), primarily as a private banker. His deep knowledge of financial management and corporate governance is expected to contribute significantly to the Corporation's strategic direction and growth.
An alumnus of St. Thomas' College, Bandarawela, Mr. Peiris holds an MBA in Business Administration from The International University, Missouri, USA.
With his extensive experience and leadership skills, Mr. Peiris is poised to lead the Sri Lanka Cement Corporation to new heights, supporting the nation's industrial growth and development.
