The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Sri Lanka, Badli Hisham bin Adam, met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister's Office to discuss strengthening bilateral relations in economic, cultural, and tourism sectors.
During the meeting, the Malaysian High Commissioner reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to its longstanding ties with Sri Lanka, according to a statement by the PM’s Media Division. The discussions highlighted investment opportunities, collaboration in industries such as telecommunications and automobile assembly, and efforts to promote Sri Lanka as a tourism destination in Malaysia.
The Sri Lankan delegation included Pradeep Saputhanthri, Secretary to the Prime Minister, Sagarika Bogahawatta, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister, Sashikala Premawardhane, Director General for Southeast Asia & Central Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Thilini Ihalage, Director of the Southeast Asia & Central Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
