Brigadier Medagoda Appointed as Army Media Spokesperson

Brigadier M.J.R.S. Medagoda has officially assumed duties as the new Army Media Spokesperson and Director of Psychological Operations. He commenced his responsibilities today, bringing with him extensive experience and leadership skills.

 An alumnus of Bandarawela Maha Vidyalaya, Brigadier Medagoda joined the Sri Lanka Army in 1991 and has since built a distinguished career, particularly with the Artillery Corps. His most recent position was as a Senior Instructor at the National Defence College, where he played a key role in shaping the future of military leadership in Sri Lanka.

With his appointment, Brigadier Medagoda is expected to lead the Army's media operations and psychological strategy, ensuring effective communication and fostering a positive image of the Sri Lanka Army both locally and internationally.

Brigadier Medagoda’s leadership is seen as pivotal in further strengthening the Army’s media presence and psychological operations, marking a new chapter in the Army's engagement with the public and the wider world.
