Unidentified Disease in Northern Province Confirmed as Rat Fever

The Epidemiology Unit has confirmed that tests conducted on samples from individuals who died of the previously unidentified illness have detected the presence of rat fever.

The Epidemiology Unit also reported that the Northern Province has recorded seven deaths related to fever so far. Efforts are ongoing to manage the outbreak and prevent further spread of the disease.
