The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has arrested Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Neville Silva, who previously served as the Director of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
The arrest was carried out at the Police Field Force Headquarters and is reportedly connected to allegations of unlawful detention and abduction. Investigations into the charges are ongoing.
