Rice and Coconuts at Controlled Prices Through Sathosa

Rice millers have agreed to supply 200,000 kilograms of rice daily to the market through Lanka Sathosa at controlled prices starting today (December 4), Minister of Trade Wasantha Samarasinghe announced during the parliamentary session.
In addition to ensuring an affordable supply of rice, the minister also confirmed that one million coconuts will be sold at Rs. 130 each through Sathosa outlets in suburban areas over the next two weeks.
These measures aim to ease the burden on consumers amidst rising food prices.
