EC Sets Due Date to Submit Candidates Expenditure Reports

The Election Commission has directed all candidates, party secretaries, and independent group leaders who participated in the parliamentary election to submit their income and expenditure reports by midnight on December 6.
In a statement, the Commission clarified that district returning officers that the candidates contested in, along with national list candidates, must also provide their expenditure reports to the relevant Election Office.
To streamline the process, special units will be established in all districts to collect these reports. These units will operate until 6:00 PM on regular working days and remain open until midnight on December 6.
The Election Commission further emphasized that failure to meet the deadline will lead to actions in accordance with the Election Expenditure Regulation Act.
