Second International Conference on Drug Studies Held in Colombo

The conference was graced by the Hon. Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and the Inspector General of Police, among other prominent figures, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the nation’s drug-related challenges. The discussions focused on innovative approaches to drug control, prevention, and rehabilitation, with experts sharing research and experiences from both local and international perspectives.

As Sri Lanka continues to face increasing drug-related concerns, the event emphasized the need for a multi-disciplinary approach, involving law enforcement, public health, and community organizations, to tackle the crisis effectively.

The Dangerous Drugs Control Board expressed its commitment to working closely with global counterparts and local agencies to strengthen drug control measures and improve public awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
