The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has announced the extension of landslide warnings for several areas across the island.The warnings which were previously issued for certain regions now include additional areas in the districts of Badulla,Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale,and Nuwara Eliya.
The NBRO has urged residents in these regions to remain vigilant, as heavy rains continue to pose a risk of landslides. Local authorities and residents are being advised to take precautionary measures to ensure safety.
In a statement, the NBRO emphasized the importance of staying informed about weather conditions and adhering to safety guidelines provided by the authorities. The organization has also requested that people in the affected areas avoid traveling through high-risk zones until further notice.
