PM Participate in Galle Face Square March to Raise Awareness on AIDS

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya, was the chief guest at the event, emphasizing the role of the police in ensuring the safety and dignity of those affected by HIV.
A number of government officials, as well as various health and civil society leaders, participated in the event, underscoring the government's commitment to addressing the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS. This collaboration between government agencies, civil society, and health organizations reflects a united effort toward combating stigma and supporting individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Sri Lanka.
The event also focused on the importance of education, access to healthcare, and legal protections for vulnerable populations, aiming to foster an environment where everyone, regardless of their health status, can live with dignity and respect.
