The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has announced that a special team will evaluate the damage caused to crops by recent flooding.

According to Chairman Pemasiri Jasingarachchi, heavy rainfall has submerged and damaged 390,000 acres of cultivated land across affected regions. The special team is set to begin on-site assessments tomorrow (December 2) to determine the extent of the losses.

This effort aims to support farmers impacted by the floods and facilitate recovery measures.
