Several Up County Train Services Further Delayed

Efforts to clear earth mounds and rocks blocking the railway tracks in the Uduwara area of Hali-Ela are still ongoing after heavy rainfall. Railway authorities have confirmed that train services between Badulla and Ella will remain suspended for several more days.
In other developments, one lane of the Passara-Lunugala road, which had been fully blocked by a landslide at the 16th mile post, has been reopened to traffic from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM today (November 30).
Meanwhile, The Colombo-Batticaloa main road, which was closed for several days because of flooding from the Mahaweli River, was reopened to light vehicles yesterday (29 November).
