Overall Rate of Inflation Decreases in November 2024

Sri Lanka's overall rate of inflation rate, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), fell to -2.1% in November 2024, a decrease from the -0.8% recorded in October 2024, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
Food inflation also dropped, falling to 0.6% from October’s 1%, while non-food inflation decreased more significantly to -3.3% from -1.6% in October.
These indicators reflect a continued reduction in overall inflation in the country over time.
