Under President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's directives, two teams led by Cabinet Ministers have been appointed to manage relief efforts in the flood-affected Northern and Eastern Provinces.

The teams began monitoring relief activities in the affected regions yesterday (November 28). Minister of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment, Professor Upali Pannilage, who heads the Eastern Province team, confirmed that efforts are underway to quickly restore normalcy for those impacted by the floods.

Authorities continue to focus on providing necessary aid and ensuring the well-being of residents in these severely affected areas.
