Trailblazing Formula 3 racer Yevan David captivated audiences at the press conference titled "Unveiling the Journey of Sri Lanka's Rising F3 Star." Held on November 27, 2024, at Colombo, the event showcased Yevan's story, his achievements, and the powerhouse team supporting his motorsport journey.

The event began with opening remarks from renowned race commentator Jake Sanson, who introduced Yevan as “The man destined to bring Sri Lanka to Formula 1."

Yevan, the nation’s first multiple-race winner in an F3 category, reflected on his career and recent victory at Monza. He expressed gratitude for the support received and shared his dream of taking Sri Lanka to the top of global motorsport.

"I’m absolutely thrilled to be here in Sri Lanka and deeply grateful for the incredible support from everyone. It’s an honour to represent the nation as I strive to take our flag to the pinnacle of motorsport." Yevan said.

Horia Totu, Yevan’s Manager, highlighted the challenges and triumphs of his debut year in racing, emphasizing Yevan’s immense talent and potential. Totu stated, “The sky is the limit for Yevan.”

Fitness Coach Alex Stott shared insights into Yevan’s rigorous preparation, praising his dedication as "once in a generation." 

"What I have seen with Yevan sets him apart, even from drivers who have reached Formula 1. His work ethic and talent are truly exceptional," Alex Stott said.

Yevan’s International PR and Communications Manager, Andy Stobart spoke of Yevan’s growing international presence, positioning him as a global ambassador for Sri Lanka.

"With Yevan’s growing international presence and impressive results, he is a unique ambassador for Sri Lanka," he said.

The event concluded with a call for corporate sponsorship to fuel Yevan’s dream of reaching Formula 1, underscoring his potential to make history for Sri Lanka in the world of motorsport.
