The A-9 main road to Jaffna, which was closed due to flooding at Omanthai, has been reopened for traffic, according to police.
The road was closed yesterday (November 27) after heavy flooding near the Nochchimoddai Bridge and Omanthai Town, within the Omanthai Police Division.
However, the floodwaters have now receded, and vehicles can resume normal travel on the A-9 road.
