The Parliament of Sri Lanka is scheduled to meet from December 3rd to 6th for crucial discussions on the government's policy statement and the interim standard account proposal.

In a recent meeting of party leaders, chaired by Speaker Dr. Ashoka Ranwala, it was decided that the debate on the government’s policy statement, which was recently submitted to Parliament by the President, will take place on December 3rd and 4th.

The debate on December 3rd will run from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, while a further discussion and voting session will follow on December 4th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Additionally, the proposal related to the interim standard account is slated for submission to Parliament on December 5th, with debates continuing on December 6th. These discussions are also scheduled from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on both days.

The series of debates is expected to address key national issues, with significant focus on fiscal policies and the country's financial management.
