The "National Conference on Emergency" will kick off today at the Nelum Kuluna premises in Colombo, bringing together medical and health professionals from ten countries. The event, scheduled to run until the 30th of this month, is organized by the Sri Lanka National Hospital's Accident Prevention Secretariat in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Indika Jagoda, Director of the Accident Department at the National Hospital, confirmed that experts from across the globe will join to discuss the latest trends, knowledge, and technological advancements in accident prevention.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is providing crucial financial support to ensure the success of the conference. One of the primary goals of the event is to facilitate the exchange of ideas among Sri Lankan healthcare workers and their international counterparts, enhancing their understanding of global best practices in accident prevention.
