
Landslide Early Warning Issued for Several Districts

Warning Level 3 - Evacuation (Red)
The highest level of warning, Level 3 (Red), has been issued for the following areas:
Kandy District: Medadumbara, Udunuwara, Ududumbara, Doluwa, Pathahewaheta, Harispattuwa, Pathadumbara, Yatinuwara, Delthota, Kandy Four Gravets or Gangawata Korale, Udapalatha.
Matale District: Ukuwela, Ambanganga Korale, Naula, Wilgamuwa, Yatawatta, Pallepola, Matale, Rattota, Laggala Pallegama.
Nuwara Eliya District: Walapane.
Residents in these areas are urged to evacuate immediately to safer locations, as the likelihood of landslides is high.
Warning Level 2 - Alert (Amber)
A Level 2 (Amber) alert has been issued for the following areas:
Badulla District: Badulla, Bandarawela, Meegahakiwula, Passara, Hali Ela.
Kandy District: Hatharaliyadda, Pasbage Korale, Akurana, Thumpane, Gangawata Korale, Panwila, Poojapitiya.
Kegalle District: Yatiyanthota, Mawanella, Warakapola, Aranayake, Rambukkana, Ruwanwella, Kegalle, Galigamuwa, Bulathkohupitiya.
Nuwara Eliya District: Hanguranketha, Kotmale.
Residents in these areas are advised to be on alert and take precautionary measures as the situation remains unstable.
Warning Level 1 - Watch (Yellow)
A Level 1 (Yellow) watch has been issued for the following areas, where the risk of landslides is moderate:
Badulla District: Lunugala, Haldummulla, Welimada, Ella, Soranathota, Kandeketiya, Uwa Paranagama, Haputhale.
Colombo District: Seethawaka.
Gampaha District: Attanagalla.
Kegalle District: Dehiowita, Deraniyagala.
Nuwara Eliya District: Nuwara Eliya, Ambagamuwa.
Ratnapura District: Eheliyagoda, Ratnapura, Openayake, Imbulpe, Kahawaththa, Kuruwita, Pelmadulla, Balangoda.
