Landslide Early Warning Issued for three Districts

 The warning, which is in effect for the next 24 hours, urges residents in these areas to evacuate to safer locations immediately due to the elevated risk of landslides.

The affected areas include:

Kandy District: 

Harispattuwa, Medadumbara, Kandy Four Gravets, Gangawata Korale, Ududumbara, Doluwa, Yatinuwara, Udapalatha, Pathahewaheta, Udunuwara, Pathadumbara, and Delthota.

Matale District: 

Ukuwela, Yatawatta, Rattota, Wilgamuwa, Ambanganga Korale, Laggala Pallegama, Pallepola, Naula, and Matale.

Nuwara-Eliya District:

 Walapane Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas.

The NBRO has emphasized the need for immediate precautionary measures, urging residents to relocate to safer ground to prevent any potential loss of life or property. Authorities have been instructed to assist in the evacuation process, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
